"After losing our last cat at age 19, we knew we wanted to adopt one from a rescue centre. However, we didn’t want a kitten. We wanted to offer a home to the cat that had been in the rescue centre the longest, the one that had been overlooked, the one that had been left behind & who had watched many others go to their new ‘furever’ families. Then we met Clare who told us about Megan. Clare knew exactly the kind of home she wanted for Meg, and she thought we fitted the bill! Meg was exactly the cat we were looking for. Her third anniversary of being in the rescue centre was coming up.  We decided we would go & meet her, to see if she might like us. She didn’t exactly like us, but she hissed less at us, in comparison to other people who had come to see her!! We decided we would try her in our home, to see if she would settle in and she did!!! On day 2 she began to play & to purr. Now she’s been with us over 2 months, and she plays fetch with her ball every day & sleeps with us every night. Meg has absolutely found her home with us and we’re so glad we have her with us! Clare was sure that Meg would settle happily into the right home & she wasn’t wrong. "Not a lot is known about SebbyG’s life before Clare and Care4Cats. He was abandoned in Middlesbrough and Clare and her wonderful helpers gave him a safe place to be. Some friends of mine thought he’d be a good match for me and Coco the grumpy tabby and that’s how he came to live in Harrogate. Julie and Clare came and did a home check to make sure we would be a good fit for each other and we haven’t looked back since. SebbyG made himself at home from day one. He’s been with us for almost three years now and is our Boro Boy. He still tries to play with Coco and she still tells him off. He fights a bit with the other boys in the neighbourhood but usually comes away with his honour intact. He loves head scratching (his) and food. Clare and Care4Cats have been with us all the way and have always been available for advice whenever we’ve needed it. We love SebbyG and SebbyG loves us."

"Anyone considering a new feline addition to their household MUST pay a visit to Care4Cats Rescue!
