"Anyone considering a new feline addition to their household MUST pay a visit to Care4Cats Rescue! The rescue cats there – most of which arrive feral and frightened – are bright-eyed and sleek-coated bundles of character that have been nursed, loved and nurtured to build enough confidence to be housecats ready to share a home. Clare welcomes would-be adopters into the centre, and invests such a lot of time describing each cat’s characters, habits and health, ensuring that cats and owners are very well matched. The rescue cats play alongside the permanent furry pets at the centre, and are wonderfully well behaved and well adjusted. On adoption, new owners are given plenty of advice, a full vaccination record and flea and worming schedules for absolute peace of mind. After we had collected our adoptees, our most nervous cats took a few days to emerge from their hiding places: Clare was on hand by text with wise words for how best to settle both our new and nervy rescue cats, and also our veteran moggy, who was a bit surprised to be sharing his space with such sprightly brother and sisters!
